Hannah Bodenhausen
is a Brooklyn based video editor and producer
Hello!
I’m Hannah! I’m a New York City based creative with experience as an editor, producer, archival researcher, and director.
For over five years, I have worked at Complexly, an educational media company founded by Hank and John Green. I got my start as a video editor, and am currently an associate producer for the YouTube channel Crash Course, which reaches millions of students and lifelong learners every year. At Crash Course I’ve worked on over a dozen series ranging in subject from Sex Ed to Organic Chemistry. I also had the privilege of working on Crash Course’s first ever full length Spanish-language series, Crash Course Biología. As an associate producer, I was a lead on the launch of Crash Course’s TikTok presence. Additionally, I’ve worked on other Complexly shows including PBS Eons, and the Webby Award winning “The People v.” both as a video editor and director.
Outside of Complexly, I’ve worked on various projects, primarily as an editor, including music videos, podcasts, and short films. Although editing is my bread and butter, I’m comfortable in any part of the production process, having done extensive pre-production and on set work.
When I’m not doing video work, I’m a runner, a knitter, and a (possibly clinically) frequent movie goer.
